Kali vs Parrot: Which one is Best

Penetration testers,Bounty Hunters love Kali as well as Parrot linux.Both are based upon Debian architecture.I prefer Parrot over Kali linux.Why am i doing so? let's take a look comparison between Kali and Parrot linux.

Hardware Requirement

Below is the minimum hardware requirement to run both the operating system.

Kali requires more recommended hardware specs as compare to parrot.So, if you have dual processor or ram less than 4gb you can go for parrot linux.

Tools

Both have so many tools for penetration testing,forensics and auditing.But Parrot comes with additional pre-installed tools like anonsurf,office suite.That's why Parrot can also be used for daily basis office work.

GUI

Here comes important point. Parrot is more user friendly as compare to the Kali linux. Moreover, Parrot comes with GNOME desktop environment.Take look some screenshots of Parrot and Kali distros.

*Kali linux 2020.1 will come with non-root privilege by default. That's what we demanded from Kali linux from past years.

Parrot has more reason to choose over Kali linux. Lite version of both linux are available on websites. But its user choice,can choose any of them.
